Biography

My name is Kimberly Dansby. I was diagnosed 3 yrs ago with Lupus, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Raynauds and Sjogrens Syndrome. At the time I was a single mom going through college. I knew no one who had lupus and everything i looked up about lupus was sad and depressing. I decided to start the Purple Rose Foundation to bring awareness to lupus and to educate the community about what it is and isn't. We are also committed to providing support to people who have lupus as well. We have two mottos "Changing the face of Lupus" and "How do you know you don't have Lupus if you don't know what it is?" Purple Rose has raised over 30,000 dollars towards lupus research since its inception 3 yrs ago. We work with all Lupus charities in order to bring about a cure! We receently released the FIRST ever Lupus awareness song called "Survivor L's up" written and performed by Jason Taylor in honor of lupus awareness month.
